Oh my…
Cuba made a pretty clear statement today that he won’t stay in the shadow of his aunties and cousins any longer.
The show ground in Tuomarinkartano seems to be THE place for Cuba. Last year his first CAC and BOB came in here and this year… CAC BOB GROUP 1 and BIS 2! Now he needs one more CAC.
We also had Juusto in intermediate class, the barenaked lady Luisa in junior class and Ninja in champions. Cuba’s daughter Valkeakoivun Emerentia took EXC1 from intermediate class and BB#4.
Not a bad weekend for team Funatic at all! Thank you my wonderful friends and Thank You judges!

I also received wonderful news from Lithuania where Cuba’s son Bernarossa Girandola took JCACs on two days and was BOS junior and BOB junior. Well done!
Some pics of Cuba’s big day in Helsinki. Under the circumstances Janna was a real trooper with the camera during the finals… Our “little boy” winning the group and all! Who could stay calm on a moment like that…?!

5th of August 2001… the first Funatic litter was born.
I cannot believe how fast time goes by!
My mother and grandmother will probably never forget the first litter… They were the ones who took care of the puppies the most while I was already studying away from home. The most challenging in this litter was that Unelma never produced much milk so the puppies had to be bottle fed for the first weeks. They were so tiny! Quite a learning experience but thankfully everything turned out well.
In the picture is the American boy Finn who is loved by Helen and Linda in New Jersey.
Hugs and kisses to Finn and Deanna overseas! They are still going strong and ejoying their lives in NJ and Florida.

FUNATIC VANITY FAIR
Saimi is the first International Champion at Funatic!
She won her first CACIB at her first show in Estonia in July 2006 right after she had finished her Finnish Champion title. After Pärnu show she took a long break from shows raising her first litter. In 2007 Saimi spent most of the year in the USA and finished her AKC title. After her second litter (Feb’08) Saimi was back in the rings in September 2008 and she quickly took the last three CACIBs in three more countries at the Nevsky Winner Show, Helsinki Winner Show and Vilnius Winter Show. Helsinki was definately the highlight of that year for Saimi: mother and son winning the Winner titles at this prestigious show was something I couldn’t even dare to dream.
In 2009 Saimi has been campaigned selectively and successfully. She received her first group placemend in April and her first group win in May! Now she is at home getting back in shape and should be back in action later this year.
Hopefully the puppy gods are with us next year.
At the Pori International Dog Show Cuba‘s daughter Valkeakoivun Emerentia won intermediate class (EXC1) and took BB#3 and RES-CAC. This seems to be coming a habit for Emmi and Mirja but I’m sure the real CACs will come :-)
Funatic Q-Ta-Molla, who is out of coat right now, took 2nd place after Emmi in intermediate class (EXC2)

Skumppa and his offspring had a fine day at Iisalmi International.
Second show for Skumppa’s son Alpweiden Fine Design and his 2nd CAC and BD#2 placement! The daughter Alpweiden Forerver Jackpot made the day even better for breeder/owner Auli when she took the breed (BB#1 CAC BOB). Congrads Auli!
